Tickets We Fight
Speeding tickets and other moving violations in Georgia carry points.
Accumulating points on your driving record can turn into increased insurance premiums and the possibility of your driver license being suspended. Depending on the speed, Georgia speeding tickets carry up to 6 points per violation. In addition, depending on the speed and the number of lanes on the road, Georgia’s Super Speeder law can be triggered. For Super Speeder tickets, an additional fine of $200 may be imposed, in addition to the fine/cost that is originally associated with the ticket. Let us try to help you avoid the points/conviction on your license, eliminate the Super Speeder penalty and keep the cost as low as possible for your ticket. Our goal is to help you keep your driving record clean and to save you time and money. We’ve been doing it in Georgia since 2005!
NEED AN EXPERIENCED LAWYER FOR YOUR SPEEDING TICKET?
Procedure – We have developed a 22 item checklist which outlines the documents an officer needs to produce and testimony required for the state to prove the case. If law enforcement misses one item, your case could be dismissed.
Knowledge – We know their equipment inside and out. In Georgia only certain devices are approved to prove your case: speed radar, vascar, aircraft and pace clocks all have specific rules, calibration methods and certification processes that apply to each one. You need a Georgia speeding ticket lawyer that knows the defenses that work.
Numbers – We’ve got numbers. Since 1987, the lawyers at the Ticket Clinic have defended over 5,000,000 traffic offenses. Our national footprint includes 40 offices throughout Florida, Georgia and California.
Unfortunately, accidents happen everyday. In Georgia, road conditions are often not ideal as we constantly deal with bad weather, congested streets and construction.
Accidents are just that…”accidents”. However, these serious infractions can lead to points on your driver license record, which can lead to big insurance increases. Let our team of experienced traffic attorneys represent you in court, and try to get your case dismissed.
Avoiding a conviction, points and driving school might make the difference in keeping your insurance premiums down and your driving record clean. Sometimes, insurance increases cannot be avoided after an accident. However, by paying for the accident ticket, you are admitting guilt and accepting the consequences of that decision. Many times we can avoid the conviction, points and driving school…all without you ever having to come to court.

Careless driving and reckless driving citations are often confused. However, there are some important distinctions. While both citations indicate that a motor vehicle is being operated in an irresponsible fashion, the potential penalties are very different.
In Georgia, careless driving is defined as failing to drive a motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner. There is no analysis as to the driver’s state of mind. Conversely, reckless driving is defined as any person who drives any vehicle in reckless disregard for the safety of persons or property.
Careless driving can carry a hefty fine and points on your license but it is not a criminal infraction, whereas reckless driving is a criminal offense that can carry a jail sentence in addition to fines and points.
